Soling

The first new Soling from the Liebner boatyard, will get a complete carbon rig from CUL-Masten in 2022. The boom is equipped with a sickle like the international 5.5s to get more space for the foresailors in the cockpit. The mainsheet runs in the boom to prevent the helmsman from getting caught. Rig and boom and line guides have been adapted to the owner's wishes.

"In the context of the new Soling project, I decided against the Italian aluminum mast and the Dutch carbon mast (incl. boom and spinnaker pole), because I was convinced - due to the different construction - of the higher quality of CUL. In the discussions, I was also shown other (new) possible solutions, which reinforced my decision in favor of the CUL rig.

In the Soling, the carbon rig is subject to very tight measurement guidelines, all of which were achieved; the class measurer even believes that the workmanship and solutions would have the best standard of any rig measured so far - by him. During the first regatta series we then - also with the help of the CUL guys Andreas and Christoph - slowly approached and understood the rig better every day.

Solutions for small changes were also suggested immediately, as the guys simply claim a high standard for themselves and want to implement it.
